About Me
I grew up at my grandmothers house and every week when we got the childrens mazine, she set down with me and helped me make the diy project at the last page. I belive that is what connected me to arts, crafts and the love of making anything out of nothing with my hands.
Later I took this inspiration to the tasty side and beginned my adult life as a pastry shef. After a decade working with different types of dow and baking them in the owen, I switched to a new dow called clay and a new oven called kiln.
At the beggining of my journey I had been making ceramic beads and ceramic pendants and jewelry. Later continued with functional tableware, mostly handpainted stoneware mugs, bowls and plates. For the last year I felt like the artistic part of my ceramic work is taking over the functional so I started to sculpt exclusivly. I still make some half funcional artwork like planters and vases, but try to focus mostly on making people feel joy, beauty and connection, that is why all of my functionals also have a face and that is why I called my ceramic business : “Clayheads”.
